Interviewing

Interviewing clients face-to-face, rather than by phone or email, allows the researcher to read body language and mood. It will also lead to more honest and positive responses. They are more engaged to you topic and interview.
1. Find the right people. Look for users at the extreme end of the spectrum.
2. Prepare, prepare, prepare. Have a video, notepad, pen ready.
3. What the heck? note down the weird, odd moments and reactions you might notice them doing.
4. Be open. Step in there shoes and you might have to get out of your strong idea a little bit.
5. Silence is okay. Don't answer for them, let them explain, it's important for them, they are thinking hard on there answers.

Interviews can be structured, semi-structured, or unstructured. They can be on a wide variety of topics, even the most basic object like keys can be turned into a high in depth interview to understand someone and their life.
